Janeiro é, supostamente, um mês maravilhoso. Além de ser o mês dos recomeços, é sinal que Dezembro acabou, e esse é o maior alivio de todos! Para comemorar, vou partilhar contigo 7 coisas que gosto neste momento:

FACEBOOK: este jornalista tem uma das melhores páginas no Facebook. A maneira como fala das notícias, do seu trabalho e sobretudo da sua família são excelentes. Os posts vergam para o comprido, mas nunca me importam. O Frank Somerville transmite tudo o que eu gosto: valores fortes, um ponto de vista único, vontade de ouvir a opinião dos outros e uma curiosidade que transborda. E, além disso, responde a comentários! Recomendo completamente. This journalist has one of Facebook best pages. The way he conveys what he feels, sees and hears is just incredible and so in touch with our own humanity. His posts tend to be long, but I really don't mind. I always get eager to read more. Frank Somerville represents everything that I like: strong values, a stark point of view, willingness to listen to other people's opinions and an incredible thirst and curiosity about everything. And he even replies to people's messages! I completely recommend him.

HOMEM DO MOMENTO - MAN CRUSH: Tem de ser o Matthew Goode, sobretudo depois de ver o último Christmas Special de Downton Abbey. Este homem é a melhor invenção da humanidade depois da pólvora e as pipocas. A sério. Olhar para ele, semanalmente no The Good Wife, é o maior prazer das minhas Segundas. It had to be Matthew Goode, especially after being surprised by his awesome presence in the latest Downton Abbey's Christmas Special. This man is the world's best creation since fire and popcorn. Seriously. Checking him out weekly on The Good Wife is the best thing about my Mondays.
LIVRO - BOOK: Aujourd'hui ne se termine jamais, escrito pela minha irmã. Desde que me conheço por gente que leio os livros dela. Quando era pequena, ficava sempre encantada com as histórias que criava (que hoje já não existem, pois foram escritas de outra maneira). Um dos primeiros livros que li na vida/da minha irmã foi justamente esta, que ela reescreveu vezes sem conta, e que tenho lido todos os dias um pouco, antes de adormecer ou dentro do carro. Pode ser comprado no iBook para iOs (foi o que eu fiz) e no Kindle da Amazon. Mas sinceramente, quanto mais gosto de um livro, menos o quero terminar. Estou a entrar nessa fase. Não te esqueças que nunca terminei o meu livro preferido de todos os tempos. Aujourd'hui ne se termine jamais, written by my sister. I have read her books since I was a small young child. At that time, I used to get so enthralled by her writing. This was one of the first books I read from her, but she rewrote it countless times until completing this final version. I have been reading it in the car while commuting or on those last minutes, between Instagram and bedtime. You can buy it as an iBook on iOs (as I did) or through Amazon's Kindle. But honestly, the more I love a book the less I want to finish it. I am starting to feel this way. Don't forget, I never finished my favourite book in the world.
MULHER DO MOMENTO - WOMAN CRUSH: Tem de ser a Emily Blunt. Enquanto via as minhas contas preferidas no Instagram, vi um vídeo com a entrevista da atriz para a Net-a-Porter. A Emily é a última bolacha do pacote. A última batata frita do prato. O pedaço de bacon que deixamos para saborear no fim. Ela é maravilhosa. Poderia ficar a ver a entrevista abaixo o dia todo. A minha grande pena é que desde Outubro passado, ando a fungar diariamente. É insuportável até para mim. E isso faria com que fossemos incompatíveis de momento. It had to be Emily Blunt. While I was checking out my favourite Instagram accounts, I saw a snippet of her video with Net-a-Porter. Emily is the last cookie in the jar. The last french fry on your plate. That last piece of bacon that you leave to eat last. She's wonderful. I could watch her all day long. I am just devastated that I have been sneezing since falling sick this last October - it's unbearable even for me! - and that would make us incompatible for the time being.
MÚSICA - MUSIC: demorei a compreender porque todo o mundo gostava da Lana Del Rey. O mundo inteiro estava a vibrar com Blue Jeans e eu estava numa de "hmmm, 'kay". Até que ouvi "a música". Um amigo enviou-me algumas músicas da banda sonora de The Great Gatsby - que ainda NÃO VI, mas sinto que estou a perder algo! - e apaixonei-me pela música "Young and Beautiful". Aí, estava num avião qualquer, vi Maleficient, e ouvi "Once Upon a Dream" e apaixonei-me de novo. Afinal a LdR vale muito muito a pena. Se tivesse de adicionar uma música ao meu top 3 da moça, adicionaria "West Coast", que é absolutamente deliciosa. It took me quite some time to understand why everybody was raving about Lana Del Rey. When the whole world was dancing to Blue Jeans, I was like "hmmm 'kay!". This skepticism stopped when a friend sent me a few tracks from the The Great Gatsby OST - a movie that I haven't watched yet and I already regret it - and fell in love with "Young and Beautiful". A few weeks later, I was on an airplane going somewhere random, I was watching Maleficient, and heard "Once upon a dream". It was magical. Okay, so I fell into the Lana del Rey wagon. If I had to add a song to her Top 3, it would be "West Coast". What a delicious song!
RECEITA - RECIPE: Eu poderia viver de leite com chocolate, frango frito e quinoa com legumes para o resto da vida. E não é que uma receita combinou tudo o que gosto? Não, não puseram leite com chocolate na quinoa, mas é a outra melhor combinação possível: frango frito com cobertura de quinoa. Quer dizer... como é possível haver pessoas tão criativas assim? Assim que tiver fogão-forno-microondas, já sei qual será uma das primeiras receitas que farei. I could live on a chocolate milk, fried chicken and quinoa with vegetables diet until the end of times. Can you imagine someone combined everything that I love? Noooo, they didn't put chocolate milk in a quinoa bowl, but she did the next best thing: quinoa chicken nuggets! I mean, how can people be this creative? As soon as I have the stove-oven-microwave combo, I know I will tackle this recipe!

SERIES: Quando vi o poster da série Chasing Life, não fiquei muito fã. Uma mulher sexy num caixão... hmm... muito visto, muito batido, muito Six Feet Under diluído com Pretty Little Liars para mim. Mas decidi ver o Pilot, para ver se valia mais do que a capa. E adorei. A capa nada tem a ver com a série - a segunda foto é muito mais representativa. Uma jovem jornalista de 24 anos descobre que tem cancro e... o resto está na série. Já chorei, já ri, já tive momentos nos quais pensei fortemente na minha vida e gosto quando as séries têm esse efeito sobre mim. Fico ansiosa pela segunda época, pois já devorei quase toda a primeira num fim-de-semana. When I first saw Chasing Life's poster, I really did not dig it. A vixen in a coffin... this whole "Six Feet Under mashed with Pretty Little Liars" vibe is getting a bit old for me. I still decided to give the Pilot a try and it was the best I did. The poster doesn't have anything to do with the series. The second photo above is much more what it is about. A young 24-year old journalist discovers she has cancer and then... if you want to know the rest, you have to check it out. I have already laughed, I have cried, I really thought about things that have been happening in my personal life, and I love when series do that to me. I am eager for the Second Season to start, as I already saw almost all Season 1 Episodes in a single weekend.
